PLA Fibers
PLA fibers offer sustainability,
resilience, dyeability, comfort, softness, strength, low flammability, and
UV durability. Fiber
Innovation Technology makes PLA fibers
(fibres) in staple and filament forms, as well as other specialty fibers and filaments.
PLA fibers are made using Naturewoks™
poly(lactic acid), which is derived from corn or other plant
sources. This is why PLA fibers are sometimes referred to as
"corn fibers." Fibers from PLA are the newest, most exciting
development in fiber technology. Using our production versatility, we can
make fibers that are customized for your
specific needs.
